On the morning of December 8, the Korean Business Research Institute officially announced the December Female Group Brand Value Ranking for women’s groups. Compared to the rankings this month, there is not much of a stir when the familiar faces continue to occupy high positions.
TWICE excelled at # 1 on the chart for the second month in a row thanks to their successful comeback song “Yes Or Yes” last month. Specifically, the brand value of TWICE significantly increased to 17%, from 12,887,067 points in November to 15,078,012 points in December.
Not inferior to TWICE, Black Pink had a one-tiered surge this month as it occupied second place with a total of 14,852,187. This month’s YG girl-group’s total score was 22.03% higher than the 12,170,886 points they won in November. The success of the Melon Music Awards ended in 2018. Black Pink brought back the high score.
Following the impressive debut of Kpop girl group Kpop in November, this month, IZ * ONE had a slight drop. The “Produce 48” women’s group won third place in December with a total score of 11,608,921, down 5.12% from their 12,235,651 last month.
